5. State‑Specific Notices and Rights
Minnesota
Under Minn. Stat. § 325E.61, if a security breach affects Minnesota residents’ unencrypted personal information, we must notify affected consumers “in the most expedient time possible and without unreasonable delay,” and if more than 500 persons are affected, we must also notify nationwide consumer reporting agencies within 48 hours of consumer notice.
Texas
The Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (TDPSA) requires us to provide an accessible privacy notice, limit data collection to necessary purposes, implement reasonable data security practices, and respond to consumer requests related to their personal data . The Texas Attorney General must provide a written notice and a 30‑day cure period before enforcing penalties.
Florida
Under the Florida Digital Bill of Rights (Senate Bill 262), effective July 1, 2024, we must provide a clear, easily accessible privacy notice updated at least annually, disclose categories of personal data processed, purposes of processing, third‑party data sharing, and mechanisms to exercise consumer rights (access, correction, deletion, opt‑out).
